Bradley Cooper's film Limitless is top of the US box office takings list

Bradley Cooper’s sci-fi thriller Limitless has opened at number one in the US box office list, taking 19 million dollars at the weekend, according to studio estimates.

The film from Relativity Media stars Bradley as a struggling writer who takes a magical pill that allows him to tap into his maximum brain potential. Suddenly he cleans up, making millions and wowing everyone he meets.

Robert De Niro co-stars as a financial guru who’s fascinated by him, with Abbie Cornish as Cooper’s skeptical girlfriend.

Limitless broke out of a crowded pack of new releases and holdovers to take the top spot.

Last week’s number one, the alien invasion movie Battle: Los Angeles, fell to third place with 14.6 million dollars. The Sony Pictures release has now made an estimated 60.6 million in two weeks.

Coming in second was the animated Western Rango, featuring the voice of Johnny Depp as a chameleon who’s stuck in the desert. The Paramount film made 15.3 million dollars for a three-week total of nearly 92.6 million.

It was a slow weekend, with the other new releases battling for the fourth and fifth spots. At number four was the Lionsgate thriller The Lincoln Lawyer, starring Matthew McConaughey as a sleazy defence attorney on a high-profile case. It made an estimated 13.4 million dollars.

In fifth place was Paul, with Seth Rogen providing the voice of a pot-smoking, wise-cracking alien who befriends a couple of British sci-fi geeks, played by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (who also wrote the script). The Universal Pictures comedy made about 13.2 million dollars.

Kyle Davies, Relativity’s president of theatrical distribution, said Bradley’s appeal was a factor in the film’s success. “He’s coming into his own as a leading man. I think he appeals to men and women,” he said.

Remove /blog from permalink on root site in subfolder install

Well, you’re not going to believe this, but I fixed it. I took a look at wp-config, and found two things — first, the domain was listed without the www prefix (leftover from dev) so I added that. Then, found that my base was listed as ‘/’, so I changed that to ‘/blog’ and FTP’ed/overwrote my existing wp-config.

Then I went into admin and changed my permalinks and they’re now working, and don’t display /blog/ in the URL, even though I’ve removed the plugins that supposedly remove the slug.

So I’m totally mystified as to why, but it works so I’m happy.

Eric Prydz is one of the few dance artists circa 2010/11 who combines critical and commercial acclaim. ‘Niton (The Reason)’ is bearing all the hallmarks of becoming his 4th UK hit, having grown from an underground instrumental smash into one of 2010’s biggest club anthems. The track has been a Zane Lowe ‘Hottest Record In The World’, a Cool Cuts No.1, Essential New Tune for Pete Tong, and been championed by Annie Mac, Scott Mills, Vernon Kay, and many more.

A household name with a No.1 and two No.2 UK hit singles under his belt, Prydz has enjoyed one of his best 12 months to date. His arena at Creamfields was the busiest of the festival, he sold out his London warehouse event weeks in advance, his show at Manchester’s Warehouse Project sold out faster than any other, and his season-long residency at Cream Ibiza broke previous records. Meanwhile, a steady flow of Pryda releases (under his underground pseudonym) has ensured he’s remained Beatport’s biggest-selling producer.

#1 - Pause any level and press the “?” (help) button in the bottom left hand corner. The egg will be on the White Bird instruction screen.

#2 – Mighty Hoax level 5-19 (rocket ship): the egg is located on the right side off the screen. If you zoom out and throw a Yellow Bird in that direction you’ll see it when the screen moves up a little. To get it either use the Yellow Bird or with the White Bird drop a bomb to the right of the wood sticking up on the first tower and the bird will take off and hit the egg (probably easier to use the yellow bird, which is what I did).

#3 – Poached Eggs level 2-2: just destroy the beach ball.

#4 - Obtain 3 stars on all levels of Poached Eggs.

#5 - Obtain 3 stars on all levels of Mighty Hoax.

#6 - On the main screen press the “i ” (credits) button and watch the credits all the way to the end and the egg will appear under the White Bird.

#7 – Poached Eggs level 1-8: tap the treasure chest (I had to tap several times).

#8 - On the episode select screen double-tap the sun (bottom center).

#9 – Mighty Hoax level 4-7: zoom out and egg will be on top of cliff on the right. Aim and hit it with the Yellow Bird.

#10 – Danger Above level 6-14: break yellow balloon under the treehouse. You can bounce the Yellow Bird off the tree or use the Boomerang Bird.

#11 – Danger Above level 8: Drag the screen to the far right and egg will be on the right. Note, even if you have these levels you can still scroll over to find the egg.

#12 - Obtain 3 stars on all levels of Danger Above.

#13 – Danger Above level 8-15: the egg is under the slingshot platform. To get it just bounce a Yellow Bird off the trampoline on the bottom right across from the egg or use Boomerang Bird.

#14 – The Big Setup level 9-14: zoom out and you’ll see the egg on the bottom right wearing a hard hat. Use a Boomerang Bird to hit it.

#15 – The Big Setup level 10-3: smash the duck underneath the bridge.

#16 – The Big Setup level 11-15: If you zoom out to see the whole level it is on the left below the slingshot. Hit it with the boomerangbird.

#17 - Obtain 3 stars on all levels of The Big Setup.

Angry Birds' 1.4.0 Golden Eggs Locations

Golden Egg #1: Click the Credits button from the main menu and watch it until the end. When the golden egg appears, simply touch it.

Golden Egg #2: From the Levels menu, touch the sun setting in the background.

Golden Egg #3: Simply click the Pause button during gameplay and watch the video of the white, egg-laying birds.

Golden Egg #4: Max out your stars on each of the first three level sets.

Golden Egg #5: Max out your stars on the last two level sets.

Golden Egg #6: In level 1-8, touch the barricaded treasure chest with your finger. Ta-da!

Golden Egg #7: In level 2-2, destroy the beach ball during gameplay.

Golden Egg #8: In level 4-7, pan all the way out so you can see the hidden yellow bird. Nail it for your 8th golden egg.

Golden Egg #9: In level 5-19 and drop a bomb on the first small bridge (on the left) to get a Golden Egg.

Golden Egg #10: In level 6-14, to the far right of the screen there is a balloon floating beneath the level of the platform that all the pigs are on. You’ll need to use the new Boomerang Bird in order to get it. Launch and activate the boomerang so it swings around and hits the balloon.

Golden Egg #11: In level 8-15, go to the far right and keep pulling the screen to the left. You’ll eventually see a golden egg poke out. Pull the screen far enough that the egg is completely uncovered and you’ll obtain it.
